Letterboxing

Picture this: A crazy Mom and her two excited kids jumping up and down, cheering in the middle of the woods at 1:30 on a beautiful, balmy Fall afternoon. What could they possibly be doing?? Why, finding their first letterbox, of course! ( www.letterboxing.org ) What a blast we had, with stamps in hand, heading out on the trails of the local Audubon sanctuary. We found two boxes, neatly hidden, one behind some rocks (and under some leaves!) and the other inside the far end of a fallen tree. We are already planning our next trip out (to the Vietnam Memorial at Green Hill Park) next week and then eventually hiding our own. There are just so many favorite places that it will be hard to choose the right spot.....Here's to the hunt!
