No matter how often I feel like I'm writing, the time seems to keep going faster and faster until I realize that almost a month has passed. This week, CC is acting more like a 4 year old, very interested in letters and sounds and picking out words in her favorite stories. Grace is really interested in walking, but hasn't yet. She has stood by herself more and more the last few days. Her new words this week are "HEY" and socks and shoes and apple sauce (a mouthful!). Fran continues to draw amazing pictures (characters for a story), take pictures, play with her dolls, and recently taught herself how to use Power Point. My favorite of her recent power points was entitled I Love You, Mommy. Will is into building and after his birthday, built his new lego sets for three days straight almost without coming up for air! He has recently discovered Yu-Gi-Oh and we have yet to make the trip to get him some cards. Both Fran and Will have taken a real liking to skating and it's amazing to me that in a few short trips to the rink and then Elm Park, they have gotten really good!

Amidst all of this joy, there has been some sadness. Uncle Peter died two weeks ago today. He was so sick, but really passed away much sooner than we anticipated. I am happy that he's not suffering any more, but it has hit us hard. I'm very glad that we have this time together and we have the flexibility to be with Gramma on her days of missing him. The light snow of today let us remember the beauty of life and to appreciate it while it's ours.
