sick week

Boy, what a week! All four kids have been sick with the flu all week and John has been away on mission in West Philadelphia....when it rains, it pours! Needless to say, we have been maintaining, doing lots of laundry, eating chicken soup and figuring out new and improved ways to down the yucky cough medicine. Fran and Will discovered soap carving amidst the sickness and have had lots of fun carving presents for people. They've also been very enthralled with the story of Dickens' Christmas Carol (they know the story, but we're reading the original)....there have been some cozy nights reading in bed and drifting off to sleep. Grace has discovered her cruising ability and this morning answered, "What??" when Will called her name! I'll post a bunch of pictures here because I don't have the energy right now to write much.
